While living there, he met the founder of D4L records, ShawtyLo, who later put his first hit single “Ima Star” on one of his mixtapes he hosted. The very next year his mother got a better job in West Palm Beach, Florida where they were able to get the fresh start that they needed. He attended Palm Beach High School where he later graduated.
